ivanna laurent (32) play-by: victoria beckham DECADENT. ZEALOUS. FRIVOLOUS. the beautiful ivanna laurent was the apple of everyone’s eye growing up. she was denied nothing, and wouldn’t expect anything less. growing up in such an atmosphere led to her having a slightly distorted view of the world around her. poverty is a foreign concept, one that doesn’t touch her or her family, and therefore she pretends like it doesn’t exist. ivanna plays happy housewife, and has most everyone convinced that she and her husband really do have the perfect life. she doesn’t do anything but lounge, and watch everyone else do her work for her. on the flip side, when ivanna decides she’s interested in something, it becomes a bit of an obsession, she’ll slave over something if she deems it worthy. then again, she can tire of things within a few minutes, people, places, even her own children can get tiring if she has to spend too long with them. ivanna wants the world to see her like she sees herself, the all nurturing mother, the giver of life, when in truth, she’s a shallow and childish woman who really needs to grow up. maybe one day her husband will talk some sense into her, or maybe he’ll just leave her, like he’s been contemplating lately. after all, no matter how hard ivanna tries, she can’t stay young forever.
alexander laurent (37) play-by: david beckham GREGARIOUS. FORCEFUL. CONTROLLING. alexander likes getting his way, the only person he doesn’t seem to be able to deny is his wife, ivanna. he indulges her every whim without batting an eye. truth be told, he knows how whipped he is, and he resents his wife for that, no matter how much he loves her and their picture perfect world. and because of that, he’s developed a bit of a wandering eye, not that he really thinks he’d ever do act on one of his impulses, but you never know, people can change. his old friend thomas astor is one of the few people he confides in, but alexander has no idea that thomas’ intentions might not be as good as he thought. although he is a sucker for his wife, in all other aspects of his world, alexander likes total control, in fact anything less in unacceptable. he can be a bit difficult to get along with at times, he does try his best. well, if he’s interested. of late he’s been doubting his marriage, though he doesn’t think he’d ever work up the nerve to leave ivanna, but the fact that the idea is there at all scares him a bit. but he’s a man, and men aren’t supposed to be scared.
thomas astor (38) play-by: matt damon FAKE. PERSONABLE. HYPOCRITICAL. when thomas astor found out that his only real friend alexander was marrying ivanna, something in him snapped. it wasn’t that thomas was attracted to ivanna in any way shape or form, but he didn’t like the idea of alexander having anything that he couldn’t. and so since their wedding six years ago, thomas has been planting the seeds of doubt in their marriage. he takes the things alexander confides in him and then picks on them until alexander is seriously worried. when he isn’t amusing himself by ruining his best friend’s ‘happy marriage’ he is spending his time with women much too young for him. he says it makes him feel desired, it must be all that rejection he got growing up. but now that he’s the one with the money and power, no one can say no to him. well, no one but nathalie kingsford, but he’s certain she’ll come around in the end. how could any girl say no to diamonds? it isn’t that he wants a relationship, he’d like to sleep with her, he doesn’t do that whole ‘long term’ thing. he likes his hookers more. the one real relationship he ever had ended very poorly, well, she left him and moved out of the country. but as far as he’s concerned, fuck her, he’s got new women to chase.
tatiana beauvoir (20) play-by: sigrid agren ROMANTIC. IDEALIST. COMPLICATED. prostitution ran in her family. her mother was one, her aunt, even her older sister, it just seemed like the only career choice available to her. tatiana is a good hooker, if hookers can be classified as good or bad. she doesn’t make conncetions with her johns, she doesn’t do kissing or talking, just sex. but underneath her frigid exterior is a hopeless romantic. like the character out of some romance novel, tatiana is the prostitute with the heart of gold, she just wants someone to love her. not that it is particularly likely. she lives with her two roommates and only friends, carolina and nathalie, and works for the william hartley. of late, she’s been frequented by jonathan parkerson, and part of her likes him more than she should. she knows that nothing good could come from such an affair so she’s been avoiding him as best she can. an old customer of hers recently presented her with a proposition, seduce a certain alexander laurent. why, she isn’t sure, but she’ll do anything if the money is good. tatiana is comfortable doing what she does, and even though she sees it as a sin, she doesn’t know how she could live any other way. and she is too scared to find out.

carolina vincent (19) play-by: anja rubik JADED. UNIMPRESSED. INTELLIGENT. mother to a three year old boy named henry, carolina is the kind of woman that you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley. it isn’t because she would beat you up, it is just that she is a bit imposing. she grew up in an abusive family, and left home at an early age, going to live with her grandmother until she graduated from high school. she is currently putting herself through college with the money she makes from her job as a waitress, though tatiana tries to convince her that she’d make a good deal more if she tried prostitution for a while. but carolina isn’t easy, and she isn’t planning on stooping to that level, sure, she loves her friends, but she doesn’t want to be a hooker. to make matters worse the father of her child is william hartley, though she’d rather die than admit it. william only brings it up when he wants to rub salt in the wound. carolina just wants to get out of the mess she’s currently in, but doesn’t see any real way to do so. until then, she plans on doing things like she always has. she’s self sufficient, and has herself convinced that she doesn’t need anyone but herself.

nathalie kingsford (18) play-by: toni garn NIAVE. SCARED. TRUSTING. fresh out of minnesota, nathalie is the good little country girl who found herself mixed up with a nasty bunch of people. she met tatiana accidentally one day and they struck up a friendship, simply because tatiana felt sorry for the poor girl. eventually, nathalie was coaxed into working with tatiana, though she is hardly comfortable with it and likes to pretend like she is the same virginal little farmers daughter she was when she moved to new york four years ago. why did she come here? to live with her half sister, ivanna. but upon discovering that her young and almost equally beautiful sister had moved to town, ivanna promptly shut her out, afraid that maybe her husband would find nathalie more attractive than herself. but ivanna needn’t worry, nathalie is far too busy trying to avoid thomas astor to pay any mind to her brother in law. the innocent little girl in her still believes that one day, her sister will come around and they will be a happy family like she always dreamed, but the truth is, that isn’t going to happen. in the end, nathalie is a prostitute and dirt poor, and ivanna is a socialite. she wouldn’t want her reputation blemished by the arrival of such an unsavory relative.

william hartley (27) play-by: andres segura SLEAZY. CRUEL. MANIPULATIVE. william hartley is the man your mother warned you about. smooth and slick he’d have any woman out of her pants and into his bed in five seconds flat. he’s a terrible person, there is not a single redeeming quality in him, and he couldn’t care less. he has what he likes to consider a high class escort agency, though it is really nothing more than a few prostitutes and some wealthy customers. he’s the father of carolina’s baby, and while he doesn’t plan on ever supporting his son, he does enjoy bringing it up and making her squirm. he’s quite fond of tatiana, in a more than business kind of way, and would consider making her his personal friend if he thought she’d do it. but william isn’t that stupid, and he isn’t a softy. he’d dump her within a week, and he knows that. and that’d be a good deal of lost business. william loves money more than anything else on earth. he considers nathalie to be a bit of a plaything, her innocence is endearing, though foolish. honestly, he doesn’t know how anyone could be as stupid as that girl, but he’s not complaining. it’d be a pity if she ever opened her eyes and saw the world for what it was.

jonathan parkerson (24) play-by: caleb lane COMPASSIONATE. RESERVED. GALLANT. what is a nice boy like jonathan parkerson doing associating with people like these? that is an excellent question, and what that is nearly impossible to answer. he came from old money, and lots of it. but jonathan was never very comfortable in the social world, he preferred spending time with his less affluent friends because he thought they were easier to get along with, and less snobbish. he was always a bit shy growing up, and despite being a good looking boy, he never had much luck with women. maybe that’s why he’s been a recent customer of tatiana’s, even though he’d really rather just talk sometimes. apparently, that is against hooker code. he is really a nice person who just wants to help people out most of the time, but sometimes his good intentions go sour. his cousin, alexander laurent, has tried to help jonathan out on more than one occasion, but at times he finds the boy to be exhausting. and so, jonathan can really consider his only friend to be a prostitute, and that really is about it. sometimes, he wonders why he bothers trying, because it doesn’t seem like anyone else wants his help, but he figures he’s got to do something good before he dies, and he’s decided that tatiana is his project, and hopefully she’ll comply.

t. von breau (a.k.a. papa vb) (48) play-by: george clooney a man of power, used to getting what he wants through the wrongest of means, does not follow one rule, unless it has been set by himself. t (theodore, but no one calls him that) is a business tycoon who has made more money out of oil than he should have. he is rumored to have a little side-business with drugs dealing in latin america. although he has never been loyal to his wife, he is a strict christian who raised both his children, delilah and gerard by the religious principles he learned from his own mother. although he has given up hope in gerard and seldom sees him, he has put all his eggs on the delilah basket and sees her as the only future for the family, although he does have another child with another woman, ingrid, of who no one knows of. he is constantly nagging connor, sending him e-mails and encountering him in coffee shops to discuss his relationship with his daughter, in hope that it will not last. he's still trying to get alfie to marry delilah and has an ongoing relationship with a number of hookers, ingrid and is always trying to get with ivanna.

ingrid fritzi (37) play-by: heidi klum mother of a five year old daughter, she has been attempting to get t to get a divorce from his wife since they first started 'dating.' although she likes to wonder herself strong and independent, she has an obsession with appearing at social events with powerful, rich men. an ex-model who has now fallen to the back covers of magazines, is seeking a new way to get fame by herself. she is halle's aunt and treats her almost like a daughter.
